Overview

Together with the Hand Manual of Operations and Applications, and with the Development Software, and a custom designed PIC84 Basic Board and Serial Programmer Development System, this kit presents a practical hands-on course in the operation and application of the PIC micro-controllers. It is Based on the PIC16F84A Flash Memory Micro-Controller as the basic template.

It includes complete operating and assemblying instructions for the PIC84 Basic Board, the Serial Programmer Board, and also a 2-Line by 8-Character LCD Display and 16-Button Key Board.

  • The PIC Development Kit contains the following :

  • 1. The BASIC BOARD :
    • Contains all the requirements of a minimum micro-controller system.
    • The main components are the Micro-Controller, the Voltage Regulator, the Power Switches, the Push-Buttons, the LED's, the Crystal, and some Diodes, Capacitors and Resistors.
  • 2. KEYPAD and DISPLAY BOARD :
    • Has a 2-Line by 8-Character LCD Display Module.
    • The Keyboard consists of 16-keys, connected to 4 row lines and 4 column lines.
    • The LCD Display Module is plugged into the Keyboard.
  • 3. USB Programmer module :
    • In-Circuit Serial Programmer for most of the Mid-Range PIC Processors, equiped with the serial programming feature.
    • It consists of a small PC Board and a Cable to a USB port of a PC.
    • The Programmer can be plugged directly into the Target Board of the micro-controller that needs to be programmed.
  • 4. Software Included :-
    • Text Editor, Assembler, Simulator and Programmer Driver
    • Programmer Driver (Wide variety of PIC Devices).
    • USB Driver for PIC (Windows).
