Some ICs like our SIMCOM series SIM908, SIM900 and SIM900A have the IPEX port directly on the top of it, this antenna help you to convert small IPEX port to normal SMA type antenna port, so you have more choices of SMA type antenna.

One end is IPEX male and other is SMA female.
